Jalandhar: Punjab Chief Minister S Parkash Singh Badal honoured LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal with Entrepreneur of the Year Award at 35th annual award function of Ludhiana Management Association (LMA). In the annual event held at Ludhiana, Chief Minister S Badal bestowed awards to six major industrialists and entrepreneurs of the state. In addition to honouring of LPU Chancellor Mr Mittal, CMD Nahar Group of Companies JL Oswal was awarded with Satpal Mittal Life Time Achievement Award, and Padma Bhushan Dr Kewal Krishan Talwar was awarded with Dayanand Munjal Award for Manager of the year. This high-profiled & glittering award ceremony was witnessed by Founder of Hero Cycles OP Munjhal, Chairman of Trident Group Rajinder Gupta, Joint Managing Director of Hero Motocorp SK Munjhal, several other key industrialists and illustrious elite gathering.
Honouring the prime entrepreneurs of the state for their rare achievements, CM Sardar Badal declared them as source of great inspiration for the coming generations. He asked industrialists to play a proactive role in ushering an era of industrial revolution in the state. He also underlined the need for more efforts to open skill training centers to cater to the need of the industry and to open new avenues for absorbing unemployed youth. He desired industry to realize its corporate social responsibility (CSR) by taking all initiatives in development of education sector.
Feeling honoured & happy Chancellor Mr Mittal thanked CM Badal and LMA for bestowing prestigious award: “It is indeed a great honour for me to receive an award of such prestige from Badal Sahib Jee. No doubt my journey to this status remained very humble, but I feel proud in bringing change in the society by contributing in the education sector. It really inspires me when I realize that LPU is nurturing future leaders not only of our country but of 26 other nations as well.” Mr Mittal assured all of his connoisseurs that he would leave no stone unturned to take the state to glorious heights in the field of education.
