Congratulating the selected students, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: “Nothing more can be a boon for any university than coveted and preferred owning of its students by the Industry. In comparison to students from engineering and management programmes, sports students across India have almost negligible chances of industry absorption. However, the present selection has paved a new way for them.” He further desired very hard and sincere work from the selected ones so that they may continue excelling.
Two of the selected students, Sheetal (Student of M Phil in Phy Edu) and Divakar Jyoti (II year student of M P Ed) said: “Such a step of the university for maintaining bright career of the sports students will have a long term effect in the life of the students. Previously, it used to be considered that there is almost no placement for physical education students. Now students like us are much motivated by the efforts of our teachers and university management as we have been provided a great launch pad for successful career ahead.”
